About Us

Founded in 1998 by Dr. Anil Rana, Janhit Foundation began with a mission to tackle the environmental and water challenges of Western Uttar Pradesh. What started as a focused effort has grown into a multi-faceted organization driving sustainable change across communities.

Our Core Work
We work on the ground to create lasting impact in:
💧 Water Conservation
🌱 Sustainable Agriculture
🌳 Environmental Protection
👧 Child Rights & Protection
👩 Women's Rights, Empowerment & Livelihoods
Alongside every initiative, we build awareness to ensure knowledge and action go hand in hand.

A Trusted Partner for Child Protection
We are proud to operate the 24/7 Child Helpline (1098) in Meerut on behalf of the Government of India. In recognition of our consistent work, we were also entrusted with the Railway Child Help Desk in Meerut in 2019.

Where We Work
While our roots are in Meerut, our projects span across Western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and the National Capital Region (NCR), including Ghaziabad, Muzaffarnagar, Panipat, Karnal, and other districts.

Our Credentials
We are a registered non-profit society with full transparency, holding valid 12A & 80G certifications and FCRA registration. We have a strong history of partnerships with bilateral agencies, multilateral institutions, and corporate donors.

We invite you to join us in creating a more sustainable and just future, one community at a time.
