Janhit Foundation has brought out the first complete census of traditional natural water resources structures in Meerut district by means of a report entitled, Paani Ghano Anmol. This 300 pages study report has earned widespread appreciation amongst national and international organisations. As a follow up of Daurala: Hell on Earth after 18 months, Janhit Foundation which has worked in close cooperation with the DCM Sriram industries towards the achievement of the recommended actions has brought out a book entitled””. Environmental remediation, social and developmental measures voluntarily put in place by the industrial house since September 2005 have been evaluated. Authored by Heather Lewis, an environmentalist from UK and presently working with Janhit Foundation clearly shows how a research study conducted by the organization has yielded results and did not confine itself to the book shelf. As a motivation and pressure action taken by Janhit Foundation on the industry the DCM Sriram Industries limited has accepted their corporate responsibility towards the residents of Daurala and have embraced the ‘Polluter Pays’ principle. In short, this is a success story of Janhit Foundation and serves as a role model for the other industrial houses. Hindon River: Gasping for Breath, A Paper on Water Pollution

This substantial scientific report details the gross contamination of the Hindon River with heavy metals and pesticides, and the subsequent contamination of the underlying groundwater water aquifer that his has caused.
