Awards by Janhit Foundation
Janhit Foundation has initiated two awards in memory of its Founder Director, Late Sh. Anil Rana.
Shri Anil Rana Memorial Award 2010
This year the award has been given to journalists (print media – Meerut city) who have been active and have promoted the issue of environment conservation. Mr. Sunil Chaiyan, Mr. Sanjeev Jain, Mr. Abhay Kumar and Mr. Om Vajpayee were awarded with a Cash Prize of Rs. 2001/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) in a public function on May 20, 2010 marking the birth day of Sh. Anil Rana ji.
Shri Anil Rana Smriti Sarvshreshtha Kisan Puraskar 2010
This year the award was given to Mr. Nitin Kumar and Mr. Ravi Mohan for purchasing the organically grown products from Organic Aaharam, an exclusive outlet being run by Janhit Foundation. They have been awarded with a beautiful certificate. By buying our products, the awardee is supporting hundreds of small scale marginalized farmers and helping us to restore the environment of rural Uttar Pradesh. He is supporting our efforts to save and conserve water, reduce and prevent pollution and help rural communities to adapt to the growing pressures of climate change. We honour him for his support.
Shri Anil Rana Memorial Award
This award initiated in 2009 is an acknowledgment of the outstanding contributions of local i.e. Meerut based institutions or individuals towards environment protection and conservation. Every year nominations would invited from a particular target group, as schools were chosen for 2009 and this year the foundation plans to award the best journalist.
A beautiful trophy alongwith an appreciation certificate is given to the winners. Winner of last year was Army Public School, Meerut Cantt.
Shri Anil Rana Smriti Sarvshreshtha Kisan Puraskar 2009
This award initiated in 2009 acknowledges the farmer who is practising organic farming to its best commitment.
A cash price of Rs. 5000/- alongwith an appreciation certificate is given to the winners. Winner of last year was Sh. Sukhpal Singh, a farmer from village Pooth.
