Hindon River Pollution caseJanhit Foundation has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) with the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India with a prayer that the industries polluting the Hindon River need to be closed down immediately and that the Hindon be included under the Yamuna Action Plan (YAP). Apart from it has also prayed before the court not to permit any new industry on the banks of this river since the pollution has already taken a heavy toll of human lives. This is a clear cut case of violation of human right to water. |
